  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk (or almond milk for a dairy-free twist)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Butter or non-stick cooking spray (for greasing the pan)
  • Maple syrup (for serving)

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice your loaf into cubes, about 1 to 2 inches.
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Spread half of the bread cubes in the dish, then sprinkle half of the mixed berries over it. Repeat with the remaining bread and berries.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered bread and berries.
  • Let it soak for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the fridge.
