360 grams of all-purpose flour
240 ml of warm water
150 grams of active sourdough starter
1 tablespoon of spirulina powder
1 teaspoon of sea salt
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine your bubbly sourdough starter and warm water. Give it a gentle stir to combine.
Gradually mix in the flour, spirulina, and salt using a wooden spoon or your hands.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10-15 minutes until elastic and smooth.
Place your dough back in the mixing bowl, cover it with a damp towel, and let it rise for about 4-6 hours at room temperature or until it has doubled in size.
Gently deflate the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Shape it into a round or oval loaf.
Place the shaped dough on a floured surface or in a proofing basket, cover with a towel, and let it rise for another 1-2 hours.
About 30 minutes before baking, preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C), and preheat your Dutch oven if using.
Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven, place the dough inside, and score the top with a sharp knife.
Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown and crusty.
Once done, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
