  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • Instructions

  • Slice the leeks in half lengthwise and soak them in cold water to remove any dirt.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until the onion is translucent.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  • In a large bowl, mix the beef mixture with cooked rice, Parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Stuff each leek half with the beef filling and arrange them in a baking dish, cut side up.
  • Pour the beef broth into the baking dish, being careful not to splash it on the leeks.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes until the leeks are tender.
  • Let sit for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle with any leftover broth for added flavor.
