1 store-bought pie crust or your favorite homemade crust
1 egg for egg wash
Pinch of salt
1 cup chopped pecans
½ cup hazelnut spread
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
3 large eggs
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss together the sliced apples, sugar, sage, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, flour, and salt.
Pour the apple filling into the pie crust.
Optional: Place a second crust over the filling and cut vents for steam.
Brush the top crust with egg wash.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden.
Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
