Ingredients
Scale
8 oz cream cheese, softened
6 oz lump crab meat
1 green onion, finely chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 package of wonton wrappers
Vegetable oil for frying
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crab meat, green onion, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
Lay wonton wrappers flat on a clean surface. Place about a teaspoon of crab mixture in the center of each wrapper. Do not overfill.
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold to form a triangle or gather the corners together for a cute purse shape. Press tightly to seal.
Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium heat. Test if the oil is ready by dropping in a small piece of wonton wrapper— it should sizzle immediately.
Fry the wontons in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain on a paper towel.
Serve warm with sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.
