1 cup of all-purpose flour

¼ teaspoon of salt
½ cup of unsalted butter, softened
⅓ cup of granulated sugar
⅓ cup of brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 cup of chocolate chips
2 cups of whole milk (or your favorite dairy-free substitute)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)
Whipped cream for topping (optional)
