Ingredients
Scale
1 pound of strip steak or flank steak, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can (8 oz) of refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup of provolone cheese, shredded
Optional toppings: sliced jalapeños, mayonnaise, or hot sauce
Instructions
Prepare your ingredients by having all of them prepped and within reach.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the thinly sliced steak, season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook until browned (about 3-5 minutes). Remove it from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until softened.
Return the cooked steak to the skillet and mix with the onions and peppers. Cook further for 2 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Unroll the crescent rolls on a lightly floured surface or parchment paper.
Spoon a generous amount of the steak and veggie mixture onto the wider end of each crescent triangle, sprinkle with shredded cheese, and roll them up tightly.
Place each rolled crescent on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
