  • 2 slices of thick bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
  • Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, olives)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

  • Instructions

  • Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Spread a couple of tablespoons of pizza sauce over the cheese.
  • Sprinkle your favorite toppings on top of the sauce.
  • Top it off with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  • Place the second slice of bread on top, butter-side up.
  • Cook for about 3-5 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  • Carefully flip the sandwich over using a spatula and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from heat, let cool for a minute, and slice in half.
