3 lbs of pork shoulder, cut into chunks
1 onion, quartered
5 cloves fresh garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 tablespoon ground cumin
3 cans (15 oz each) of hominy, drained and rinsed
8 cups chicken broth
1–2 tablespoons of chili powder
Salt, to taste

Instructions
Prepare the Pork: In a large pot, add your chunks of pork shoulder, quartered onion, crushed garlic, oregano, cumin, and a sprinkle of salt. Cover everything with your chicken broth and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Shred the Meat: Once the pork is cooked and tender, remove it from the pot and use two forks to shred the meat into bite-sized pieces.
Add the Hominy: To the same pot filled with the delicious broth, add the drained hominy and some chili powder. Stir gently and let it cook for another 30 minutes.
Combine: Return the shredded pork to the pot and stir. Allow all those beautiful flavors to meld together for another 10 minutes.
