  • 1 pound of ground meat (beef, pork, or a mix, or use lean turkey)
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 jar of marinara sauce

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands.
  • Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  • Arrange the meatballs on a lined or greased baking sheet about an inch apart.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
  • While baking, warm marinara sauce in a large skillet. Add meatballs to the sauce and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
