4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1/4 cup of honey
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of sriracha
4 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
1 inch piece of ginger, grated or minced
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of ground cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
Green onions, thinly sliced for garnish
Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Rinse the chicken thighs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, grated ginger, paprika, and ground cumin until well combined.
Place the chicken in a Ziploc bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully add the marinated chicken, searing it for about 5-7 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to medium-low. Drizzle the reserved marinade into the skillet and let it bubble around the chicken. Cook for an additional 5-8 minutes until cooked through.
Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the chicken to a plate. Let it rest for about 5 minutes.
