  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced or grated
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into small balls (about the size of a golf ball) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and golden on the outside.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and minced ginger over medium heat, stirring until thickened (about 2-3 minutes). Remove from heat.
  • Toss the baked meatballs in the teriyaki sauce until coated.
  • Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with sesame seeds and extra green onions, and serve.
