1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced or grated
Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shape the mixture into small balls (about the size of a golf ball) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and golden on the outside.
In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and minced ginger over medium heat, stirring until thickened (about 2-3 minutes). Remove from heat.
Toss the baked meatballs in the teriyaki sauce until coated.
Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with sesame seeds and extra green onions, and serve.
