1 lb of fresh green beans, trimmed
1 can (10.5 oz) of cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup of milk
1 1/2 cups of French fried onions
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large pot, boil water and blanch the fresh green beans for about 3-4 minutes until they turn vibrant green. Drain and place them in ice water to stop the cooking process.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the blanched green beans until they are well coated with the creamy mixture.
Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread evenly, and if desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
