4 slices of sourdough bread
2 slices of cheese (any kind for melting)
4 tablespoons of pesto
Butter (for spreading on bread)
Instructions
Start by getting everything you need ready. Slice the sourdough bread and cheese, and have your pesto out.
Spread a generous layer of pesto on one side of each slice of bread. This adds that fresh flavor right from the start.
Place a slice of cheese on the non-pesto side of one of the slices. You can use any cheese you like for melting.
Put the other slice of bread on top, pesto side facing the cheese. Now you’ve got a tasty little sandwich waiting to be cooked.
Preheat your skillet over medium heat. It's important to get it nice and hot before cooking the sandwich.
Place the sandwich in the pan. Cook until the bread turns golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
Carefully flip the sandwich to cook the other side. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning!
Once both sides are a lovely golden brown and the cheese is gooey, remove it from the pan. Cut and enjoy!
